Sounders
Sounders give audible warnings when a machine starts, a process alarm trips or an area needs to be evacuated. Combined with beacons and visual indicators, they make sure alarms are noticed on noisy plant floors.

Selecting a Sounder
Choose a sound level that is at least 10-15 dB above the background noise, and pick distinct tones so workers can tell alarms apart. Check the voltage, enclosure rating and mounting style. In hazardous areas, confirm Class/Division or ATEX ratings.
