Plumbing Valves

Plumbing valves control water and other fluids in commercial buildings, facilities and light industrial systems. Reliable valves allow equipment isolation, maintenance and flow control, and keep water systems compliant with code.

Plumbing Valve Types

  • Ball valves – quick, reliable shutoff
  • Gate valves – full-flow isolation
  • Check valves – prevent backflow
  • Balancing valves – set flow in hydronic systems
  • Backflow preventers and PRVs – protect water supplies and fixtures

Choosing a Valve

For potable water, choose lead-free valves that meet NSF/ANSI 61 and 372. Match the end connections (threaded, sweat, press or grooved) and pressure rating to your system. Bronze and brass are standard, with stainless and PVC available for special conditions.
