The Toshiba EQP Global® XP Explosion Proof Motor is a robust and reliable solution engineered for hazardous environments where explosive gases, vapors, or dust may be present. Designed to contain internal explosions and prevent the release of hazardous substances, this motor ensures safety and compliance in critical applications.​

Features:

  • Explosion Proof Design: Meets UL and CSA certifications for hazardous locations, including Class I, Division 1, Group D, and Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G.​
  • Durable Construction: Features a rugged cast iron frame, end brackets, conduit box, and fan cover, providing exceptional strength and longevity.​
  • Ingress Protection: Equipped with non-sparking brass V-ring shaft slingers and stainless steel drain and breather systems, offering IP56 protection against moisture and contaminants.​
  • High-Performance Bearings: Utilizes oversized 300 series bearings, with re-greasable options on frames 284T and larger, to enhance service life and reduce maintenance.​
  • Low Vibration Levels: Achieves typical vibration levels of 0.08 inches/second, exceeding NEMA MG1 requirements, contributing to motor stability and durability.​
  • Inverter Duty Rated: Suitable for use with adjustable speed drives, featuring a Class F insulation system with Class H varnish and magnet wire for extended thermal margins.​
