Polymer Actuators
Polymer actuators are made of engineered plastics instead of metal, so they hold up in corrosive environments that would quickly damage aluminum or steel. They're a good match for chemical processing, water treatment, plating and coastal installations.
Why Choose Polymer Actuators
- Corrosion resistance – stands up to acids, caustics and salt spray
- Lightweight – easier to mount on plastic valves and piping
- Pneumatic and electric versions – for quarter-turn valve automation
- Spring-return options – fail-safe open or closed
- Standard ISO 5211 mounting – fits common ball and butterfly valves
Sizing Tips
Size the actuator to the valve's breakaway torque with a safety margin, taking into account the media and operating pressure. Check the operating air pressure or voltage, and whether you need limit switches, solenoids or positioners. Polymer housings may have temperature limits, so confirm the ambient conditions.
