Selecting a Gauge
Choose a range so normal operating pressure sits in the middle of the dial, generally about twice the operating pressure. Use a liquid-filled gauge on pumps and compressors, and add a snubber for pressure spikes. Confirm the connection size and accuracy grade.

The Ashcroft® 1009 is an ASME style pressure gauge suitable for applications requiring a stainless steel case in a 4 1/2″ or 6″ size. The 1009 provides durability, reliability and performance with protective features for corrosive or other challenging process media applications. Specifications include a 4.5" dial size and bronze tube, brass process connection wetted material, with a 1/2" NPTM connection type, lower back mount connection location, and 0-30 PSI pressure range. Additional options on this model include front flange mount.
