DC Drives
DC drives control the speed and torque of DC motors. They're still common in older machines, extruders, cranes and winders where DC motors deliver high torque at low speeds.
DC Drive Options
- Regenerative drives – four-quadrant braking and reversing
- Non-regenerative drives – economical single-direction control
- Field controllers – extended speed control
- Retrofit drives – replace older DC drives
Choosing a DC Drive
Provide motor armature voltage, current and field data, plus your control and braking needs. Retrofits can modernize controls while keeping existing DC motors.
Centro supplies DC drives and replacement components for existing DC systems.
