Vacuum Pump Blowers

Blower Types

• Rotary lobe (positive displacement) blowers – high flow at moderate vacuum or pressure
• Regenerative (side channel) blowers – oil-free, quiet and compact

Sizing a Blower

Work out the required airflow (CFM) and vacuum or pressure level, and account for losses in piping, filters and receivers. Inlet filtration protects the blower from dust, and a relief valve prevents overload. Sound enclosures and inlet and outlet silencers help where noise is a concern.
