The KOBOLD DPM Pelton wheel flow sensor delivers precise flow measurement of water and water-based, low-viscosity, optically transparent liquids in a remarkably compact form factor ideal for space-constrained installations. Employing an innovative design where liquid passes through a precision nozzle and impinges directly onto a flat-blade Pelton turbine, this sensor provides exceptional accuracy (±1.5% of full scale for advanced models) while requiring no straight pipe runs before or after installation. The robust construction featuring brass or 316L stainless steel housing options combined with a sapphire axle/bearing assembly ensures outstanding durability and extended service life even in demanding industrial environments. Multiple output options—from basic frequency pulse signals to sophisticated 4-20 mA outputs and programmable compact electronics with integrated digital display—provide flexible integration with various control systems while maintaining measurement consistency across flow ranges from 0.24 GPH to 80 GPH.
