Thermocouples and RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors) are types of temperature sensors widely used for temperature measurement in industrial processes, HVAC systems, or scientific research. Thermocouples consist of two dissimilar metal wires, generating a voltage proportional to the temperature difference between the sensing junction and the reference junction.
