Strainers

Air preparation strainers protect pneumatic systems by catching rust, pipe scale and other solid debris in compressed air lines. Placed ahead of valves, regulators and actuators, they help prevent sticking, leaking and premature wear.

Strainer Options

• Inline Y strainers – compact protection for main and branch lines
• Mesh screen strainers – coarse filtration ahead of finer filters
• Strainers with blow-down valves – flush debris without disassembly
• Replacement screens – in stainless mesh and various sizes

Installation Tips

Install strainers at the inlet of each machine or air drop, upstream of filter-regulator-lubricator units, and choose a mesh size that stops debris without restricting flow. Strainers catch solids only, not water or oil, so pair them with filters and drains for complete air preparation.
