Rotary Airlocks

Rotary airlocks, also called rotary valves or feeders, meter bulk solids out of hoppers, bins and cyclones while keeping a seal between areas of different pressure. They're essential in pneumatic conveying and dust collection systems.

Choosing an Airlock

Size the airlock by material rate, bulk density and rotor fill efficiency. Choose rotor style and clearances for the product and pressure differential. Rotor tip wear increases air leakage, so plan for inspection and rebuilds.
