Diaphragm Valves

Diaphragm valves isolate the fluid from the valve mechanism with a flexible diaphragm. They're ideal for corrosive chemicals, slurries, abrasive fluids and hygienic processes where contamination and leaks must be avoided.

Diaphragm Valve Types

  • Weir-type valves – good throttling and tight shutoff
  • Straight-through valves – full bore for slurries and viscous fluids
  • Lined bodies – rubber, PTFE and PFA lining for corrosion resistance
  • Plastic body valves – PVC, CPVC and PVDF
  • Actuated valves – pneumatic and electric automation

Choosing a Valve

Select diaphragm material (EPDM, PTFE, natural rubber) for the fluid and temperature. Choose the body style based on flow, solids and drainability. Plan for periodic diaphragm replacement as part of maintenance.

Centro supplies diaphragm valves and repair diaphragms for chemical, slurry and water treatment service.
