Clamps and piping support products play a fundamental role in maintaining the stability and integrity of piping systems in diverse applications. These essential components ensure that pipes are securely placed, preventing unintended movement, vibration, and potential damage. Providing proper support, clamps, and piping support products contributes to pipelines' longevity and prevents leaks and stress fractures. From simple pipe clamps to more specialized supports, these products offer a range of solutions tailored to different pipe sizes, materials, and installation requirements. Whether in industrial settings, construction projects, or plumbing applications, reliable clamps and piping support products are crucial for fluid transport systems' smooth and safe operation.
PVF (Pipe, Valve, and Fitting) product fittings are essential for fluid handling systems, including couplings, elbows, tees, and valves. These fittings connect pipes and control liquid or gas flow in industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Built to withstand diverse pressures, temperatures, and corrosive conditions, PVF fittings ensure reliable performance and durability. Bearings reduce friction between moving parts, enabling smooth, efficient rotation and motion in machinery across countless applications. From electric motors and conveyors to automotive systems and heavy equipment, bearings support loads, enhance performance, and extend equipment life. Available in a variety of types—such as ball, roller, and plain bearings, they are engineered to handle different speeds, loads, and environmental conditions for reliable, long-term operation.
Shaft collars are critical mechanical components used in bulk solids material handling systems to position, secure, or limit the movement of rotating shafts. These versatile devices act as mechanical stops, locating components, and bearing faces in machinery such as conveyors, rotary valves, and augers. Available in solid, single split, and double split designs, as well as various materials like stainless steel, black oxide, and zinc-plated steel, shaft collars are engineered to withstand demanding industrial environments.
Paint spraying equipment refers to devices used for the application of paint or coatings onto surfaces. They provide a more efficient and precise method of painting compared to traditional brushes or rollers. Paint spraying equipment includes spray guns, air compressors, paint containers, and associated accessories. They are widely used in automotive refinishing, construction, furniture manufacturing, and other industries requiring high-quality and uniform paint finishes.
Mechanical components are the essential parts and assemblies that form the backbone of machines and mechanical systems. Centro currently offers belts, including V-belts, are key elements used to transmit power between rotating shafts, ensuring smooth and efficient operation in a wide range of applications.

- For PEX tubing, use cinch clamps or crimp rings for secure connections at fittings, and plastic or rubber-lined hangers for support along runs. Avoid bare metal clamps that contact PEX directly — they can cut into the tubing over time. Stainless steel cinch clamps are the most popular choice for durability and ease of installation.
- The main types are clevis hangers, pipe straps, J-hooks, U-bolts, and riser clamps. For PVC specifically, use cushioned or plastic-lined supports to prevent crushing or abrasion. Spacing matters — PVC requires closer support intervals than metal pipe due to its flexibility, typically every 4–6 feet depending on pipe diameter.
- The most common types are top flange clamps, center load clamps, purlin clamps, and C-clamps. Top flange clamps attach to the top of a beam flange for vertical loads. Center load clamps hang below the beam for suspended loads. Choose based on beam flange width, load direction, and whether you need fixed or adjustable positioning.
- Galvanized hangers are cost-effective for general outdoor use but will eventually rust in high-moisture or coastal environments. Stainless steel hangers cost more upfront but offer superior corrosion resistance and a much longer lifespan outdoors. For any application near saltwater, chemicals, or constant moisture, stainless steel is the clear choice.
- The main types are ball, gate, globe, butterfly, check, needle, and control valves. Ball and gate valves handle shutoff. Globe and needle valves regulate flow. Butterfly valves manage large-diameter flow economically. Check valves prevent backflow. Control valves automate flow, pressure, or temperature regulation. Each is engineered for specific pressure, temperature, and flow conditions.
- PVF stands for Pipes, Valves, and Fittings. It's the term used across the industrial distribution industry to describe the broad category of products used to build, connect, and control piping systems in commercial, industrial, and mechanical applications.
- Stainless steel offers significantly better corrosion resistance, making it the right choice for wet environments, chemical exposure, food-grade applications, and outdoor use. Carbon steel is stronger and less expensive but requires coatings or linings to resist corrosion. When media or environment is corrosive, stainless steel outlasts carbon steel by years and reduces long-term maintenance costs.
- PVC pipe typically lasts 25–40 years under normal conditions but degrades faster with UV exposure, high temperatures, or chemical contact. Stainless steel pipe can last 50–100 years or more depending on grade and environment. For longevity, high temperature, or demanding industrial applications, stainless steel is the significantly longer-lasting investment.
