Filter Press
Filter presses separate solids from liquids by pumping slurry between a series of plates lined with filter cloth. Liquid passes through the cloth while solids build up into a dry cake that drops out when the press opens. They're widely used in wastewater treatment, mining, chemical, food and metal finishing operations to cut disposal costs and recover water.

Improving Press Performance
Cake dryness, cycle time and filtrate clarity all depend on matching the cloth's weave and permeability to your slurry. Worn or blinded cloths are the most common cause of cloudy filtrate and wet cake. If your press isn't performing, a cloth or media change is often a quick fix.
