Non-Ferrous

Non-ferrous strainers are made from bronze, brass, plastic and other materials that won't rust. They protect pumps and equipment in water, seawater and corrosive services where cast iron or carbon steel would corrode.

Material Options

• Bronze and brass strainers – potable water, marine and HVAC systems
• PVC and CPVC strainers – chemical and water treatment lines
• Polypropylene and PVDF strainers – aggressive acids and caustics
• Y and basket configurations – for different debris loads and line sizes

Selecting a Strainer

Check chemical compatibility with the fluid, and the pressure and temperature limits, especially for plastics. Select a screen size based on what you're protecting, and confirm the end connections (threaded, socket, flanged). Stainless or Monel screens often pair with non-ferrous bodies for longer life.
