Centro's Robot Donation to The College of Engineering at The University of Alabama
Centro would like to thank the College of Engineering at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa for hosting an appreciation event to recognize our donation of 2 brand new Rethink -- Sawyer Collaborative Robots. These robots will help with research and development projects in the college's robotics lab.
As robotics continue playing an increasingly important role in business process automation, companies like ours are grateful for institutions like the University of Alabama that foster collaboration between industry and academia. The College of Engineering at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa recently hosted an appreciation event to recognize Centro's donation of 2 brand new Rethink Robotics' Sawyer collaborative robots.
The event was attended by representatives from both organizations, including Radley Scott (Research Engineer at UA), Dr. Nader Jalili (Mechanical Engineering Professor and Department Head at UA), Shane Maddox (Chief Operations Officer at Centro), Kenny Cook (Centro Birmingham Branch Manager), Jerry Walling (VP of Sales & Marketing at Centro), Jim Entrekin(Sales Territory Manager at Centro). We are excited about a longstanding partnership between Centro and the College of Engineering at UA, which has resulted in UA graduates finding employment with industrial automation robotics companies like Centro.
Thanks again to everyone involved! Stay tuned as we continue working together to shape the future workforce! For more information on robotic process automation or how it can benefit your business, please get in touch with Centro's Automation and Robotics Division.
