FAQs
What is a dew point transmitter and where is it used?
A dew point transmitter measures dew point temperature (Td) to help monitor dryness, commonly in compressed air systems and industrial processes where moisture control matters. For example, E+E’s EE371 is designed for Td monitoring and is positioned for compressed air and process control.
What range and pressure ratings can E+E dew point sensors handle?
It depends on the model. As an example, the EE371 is specified for -60 to +60 °C Td and is rated up to 100 bar, aimed at compressed air and industrial applications.
What is a “moisture in oil” sensor and what does it measure?
Moisture-in-oil sensors are used for online monitoring of water contamination risk in oils (transformer, hydraulic, lubrication, diesel, etc.). E+E’s EE364 measures water activity (aw) and oil temperature, and it can also provide water content (x) in ppm (calculated).
What applications use E+E moisture-in-oil transmitters?
Typical monitoring applications include transformer oil, lubrication oil, hydraulic oil, and diesel fuel, where knowing moisture condition helps reduce wear, corrosion, and unplanned downtime.
What is the E+E EE800 used for?
The EE800 is a room sensor designed to measure CO₂, temperature, and relative humidity for demand-controlled ventilation and building automation (commercial and residential).
What is “dual-wavelength NDIR” CO₂ sensing and why does it matter?
Dual-wavelength NDIR CO₂ sensing is used to improve long-term stability and reduce drift effects. E+E states the EE800’s dual-wavelength NDIR approach helps compensate for aging and is less sensitive to pollution, supporting stable measurement over time.
